Notice Text:

Colorado Interstate Gas Company, L.L.C.

August 05, 2025

Update - Interruptible Services Balances

Colorado Interstate Gas Company, L.L.C. (CIG) previously informed Shippers and Operators using the interruptible services (Services) identified below that CIG anticipated a decrease in the ability to inject gas into storage and to otherwise absorb imbalances (see Notice #122497).  Considering this anticipated decrease in operational capabilities, CIG advised these Shippers and Operators to monitor their flow rates to prevent balances from increasing and that they should begin to nominate or operate to reduce balances to zero (0) Dth.  CIG cautioned that if the balances were not reduced to zero and if its system's capabilities continue to decrease as anticipated, CIG would issue a notice implementing restrictions on the use of the Services in accordance with its FERC Gas Tariff to ensure the ability to provide firm services.

As anticipated in the Notice, the operational capabilities of CIG's system to provide the Services have continued to decrease for the reasons identified in the Notice. CIG's storage capacity is required to provide firm services and its ability to otherwise absorb imbalances has become limited.  Therefore, effective Timely cycle for Gas Day August 6, 2025 until further notice, CIG will no longer schedule nominations for the injection of gas for its interruptible storage services pursuant section 6.4 of the General Terms and Conditions of the Second Revised Volume No. 1 of CIG's FERC Gas Tariff (Tariff) and sections 2.1 and 2.2 of Rate Schedules IS-1, IS-Y and IS-T, of the Tariff.  Also, in accordance with section 2.2 of Rate Schedules SS-1 and SS-HP, of the Tariff, capacity is unavailable for incremental positive balances and Rate Schedule SS-1 and SS-HP pay back onto the system will not be approved. Shippers and Operators utilizing the Services should continue to nominate to reduce any remaining balances on such services to zero (0) Dth by September 1, 2025.

Shippers and Operators failing to clear their balances for these Services in a timely fashion may be required under the applicable provisions CIG's FERC Gas Tariff to nominate to reduce 10% or 5,000 Dth (whichever is greater) of the outstanding balance each day until balances are reduced to zero (0) Dth.  Moreover, balances not reduced to zero (0) Dth may become the property of CIG pursuant to the applicable CIG's FERC Gas Tariff depending on the service.

·            IS-1 - Storage Service – Interruptible

·            IS-Y - Young Storage Service-Interruptible

·            IS-T - Totem Storage Service - Interruptible

·            SS-1 – Interruptible Swing Service

·            SS-HP - High Plains Interruptible Swing Service

CIG will notify Shippers and Operators when these Services become available again.
