Subject: Texas Eastern Unplanned Outage Impacting Meter 834055
Author: Jon Young
Notice Text
Columbia Gas Transmission, LLC (TCO) notifies customers of an unplanned outage on the Texas Eastern Transmission, LP (TE) system. This unplanned outage has the potential to impact TCO’s deliveries at the Trenton interconnect (TCO meter 834055 behind MLI 14; TE meter 71993). At this time, TCO anticipates no commercial restrictions will become necessary; however, due to TE’s unplanned outage, TCO may be unable to meet its firm obligations at 834055. Therefore, it may become necessary for TCO to declare a Force Majeure. TCO is coordinating with TE regarding its unplanned outage, and will provide updates as additional information becomes available. Please see TE’s critical notice below, and contact your Customer Services Representative with any questions. ***Texas Eastern Posting dated 5/16/2025*** Subject: Batesville to Lebanon Line 1 VS5 Unplanned Outage TE has experienced an unplanned outage on its 24" Line 1 Valve Section (VS) 5 between its Batesville and Lebanon compressor stations, a single line system.
As a result of this outage, effective immediately, TE will need to reduce pressure below 590 psig on Line 1 between Batesville and Lebanon until the identified pipeline anomaly has been investigated and appropriately remediated. Due to this pressure reduction, customers in the area may experience lower than desired pressures.
Additionally, TE has determined that a future planned isolation may be required to repair the identified pipeline anomaly. TE will inform customers once this decision has been determined. If the isolation does occur, capacity northbound and southbound through Batesville will be reduced to 0 Dth/d. TE will work with point operators upstream/downstream of the isolated segment to minimize restrictions to nominations for northbound and southbound through Batesville.
During this isolation, the following meters will be unavailable for flow:
72798 - HAMILTON, OH
72026 - NGO (MILLER) - BUTLER CO., OH
71993 - CIN GAS & ELEC -BUTLER CO., OH
73280 - DUKE ENERGY KENTUCKY
73233 - DUKE ENERGY INDIANA
To the extent feasible, TE will work with point operators in the isolated segment to coordinate the outage.
TE will post updates to the status of the pressure reduction or repair dates as soon as it is known.
