Subject: | Discontinuation of Shipper Upstream Suspense Accounts - Effective October 1, 2025 |
Summary: | With the transition to LINK, Upstream Suspense Accounts will be closed. |
As part of the upcoming transition to the LINK system, we are implementing changes to the allocation process. Effective October 1, 2025, the monthly estimate-to-actual adjustment will be discontinued, and Upstream Suspense Accounts will no longer be used. This change has been communicated through shipper engagement sessions and LINK training. Amendments to Westcoast Energy Limited Partnership's General Terms and Conditions - Service will reflect this update. Any remaining balance in a shipper's Upstream Suspense Account will be transferred as a lump sum to their imbalance account in LINK. To support a smooth transition, please note the following key dates: September 18, 2025: Final allocations for August production will be published. September 20-25, 2025: August suspense transfer window: shippers may transfer their August suspense balance to their current daily estimate account. October 1, 2025: Any remaining balance not transferred will be moved to the shipper's imbalance account in LINK. This will be a lump sum balance transfer and not prorated throughout October. We recommend reviewing your current imbalance position and considering how this transition may affect your operations.
