Athens Compressor Station Unplanned Outage -- UPDATE
As previously posted, Texas Eastern (TE) had experienced an unplanned outage on its 30" system at the Athens Compressor Station (Athens) in Athens, Ohio. Partial capacity is anticipated to be restored at the station for Gas Day July 7. As a result, the stations on the 30 inch line, beginning for Gas Day July 7th will be reduce to the following north to south capacities until further notice:
Reduced to approximately
Berne 1,820,000 Dth/d
Athens 1,820,000 Dth/d
Wheelersburg 1,818,000 Dth/d
Danville 1,812,000 Dth/d
Tompkinsville 1,811,000 Dth/d
Barton 1,797,000 Dth/d
TE will take into consideration the above capacities during the timely cycles for future gas days starting Gas Day July 7, 2025. Restrictions to primary firm capacity will be required until further notice. Any additional changes to capacities associated with this outage will be updated in the daily TE Pipeline Conditions postings.
In addition, receipt meters between TE's Berne and Uniontown compressor station are expected to see higher than normal pressures until further notice.
TE will have further updates mid-next week on the anticipated duration of the outage.
